bookbinding workshops

Bonnie Stahlecker will travel to your site to teach. She has many different book arts and bookbinding workshops to offer. She is an organized and patient instructor, with a passion for art and a considerable amount of knowledge and experience to share.

Stahlecker is skilled in the book arts and pop-up wizardry. Over the years she has honed her skills and knowledge in order to better serve the workshop participants. In 2000 she took private bookbinding lessons and conducted research on historical book models. Since then she has adapted the techniques to make her own artwork and to offer her innovations to others through workshops.

Stahlecker has taught over ninety professional workshops since 1984 at various sites around the United States. The workshops range from one- or two-day workshops to multiple weeklong classes. She has been invited to teach at Haystack Mountain School of Crafts, several Paper and Book Intensives, Penland School of Crafts, as well as many Book Art and Calligraphy Guilds.
